| I Like to keep my art down to earth, soulful and funky,
Expressionism with an urban edge that people can
not only relate to, but have access to.
It started about 10 years ago. After moving into a new home, I couldn’t
take the bare walls and created my first painting, a three piece abstract.
It quickly became a conversation piece to everyone who came through.
I have been painting ever since!
Working mainly with acrylics, I blend color, shape, and form,
celebrating the love of life, dreaming, long summer days, friendship, roots,
learning, and positive growth. This is where you will almost always find a
woman of color painted in beauty and strength. Each piece of art carries with
it, a moment, thought, or emotion, through it’s vibrant liveliness and movement,
concentrating in the area of all things positive,counter-balancing negativity such
as cynicism and self hatred.. Everything is and will always be painted
in a positive light.
I love to express the beauty in life through my paintings, all the while creating
eclectic, thought evoking art, known as my "urban haikus on canvas"
